Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 cup Basmati rice
2 tsp Ghee / clarified butter
1 tsp Oil
2 counts Bay leaf
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 counts Cardamom
1 count Cinnamon stick
1 count Green chili,slit cut
½ cup Chopped onions, thinly sliced
¼ cup Coriander leaves, finely chopped
Water to soak and boil

Rinse and soak the rice for about 30 minutes.

Using Instant Pot in a saute mode, heat oil and ghee. Then add a tsp of cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf. Let it splutters.

Followed by chopped onions, chopped coriander leaves, green chili and salt to it.

Further add a cup of soaked rice and saute for a minute.

Then add 2 cups of water and tsp of ghee to it and mix well.

Using Instant Pot, close the lid and pressure cook in a rice mode for upto 12 minutes and unplug it (Using pressure cooker, cook for up to 2 whistles).
